Ban on inter-district movement in Assam from Friday: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma

GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has asserted today that the state is going to put a ban on inter district movement from Friday onward.

CM Sarma said this while speaking with the press today and also said a notification to be issued any moment today.

The state of Assam is in tremendous stress of COVID-19 surge and it has reported 3,650 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours which has mounted the active cases tally to 43,377.

As many as 56 died due to COVID in the period of time.

The state has gone already for a partial lockdown from yesterday.
