The Bodoland Movement organizations have once again raised their voice in unison in demand of a separate state Bodoland in Udalguri district of Assam on Monday.
The mass protest was led by All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) and was joined by People’s Joint Action Committee for Boroland Movement (PJACBM) and National Democratic Front of Boroland-Progressive (NDFB- P), along with the locals of Udalguri.

The protestors of student organization ABSU have also threatened to intensify their protest if their voices are left unheard.
ABSU chief Promod Bodo said, “The Center did not fulfil our demand in the last 50 years. So, the mass agitation is going on. The people of Bodoland demand a permanent solution to this ongoing issue. The Central Government has created many separate states in the country. Thus, we also want our demands to be accepted.”
ABSU General Secretary, Lawrence Islary said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been ignorant of the long-standing demand of separate Bodoland.

The movement organizations also stated that since the party is in favour of creating smaller states, the creation of a separate Bodoland is a must.
