Bodo leaders living outside Bodoland Territorial Autonomous Districts (BTAD) on Friday alleged that Bodoland Peoples’ Front (BPF) chief Hagrama Mohilary and BPF leader Chandan Brahma have cheated upon the Bodos residing outside the BTAD areas.
In a glittering ceremony at the Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, over 700 members of the United Bodo Peoples’ Organisation (UBPO). The new members were welcomed to the party by Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Health & Family Welfare minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Ranjeet Kumar Dass.

UBPO president Mihineswar Basumatary alleged that both Mohilary and Brahma dis not want prosperity of the Bodos living outside the BTAD and even opposed inclusion of Sonitpur and Biswanath Chariali in the Bodo Kachari Autonomous Council.
Brahma had opposed the council both at the cabinet and in the assembly. Basumatary accused Hagrama and Brahma of doing politics in the name of Bodos living outside the BTAD.
