The Dispur police has sent a notice to Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Akhil Gogoi to appear at the police station on November 3.
Speaking to InsideNe, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Dispur, Himangshu Das said that two cases (3189/18 and 3197/18) have been filed against Gogoi for the 12 hour bandh called by the Organisation along with many others on October 23 against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016 at the Dispur Police Station.
Das added that the Ram Sena has filed one case against Gogoi for not abiding by High Court’s order and one Bhagwan Das has filed another case for pelting stone at his vehicle during the bandh.
It may be mentioned that the October 23 Assam Bandh was called by KMSS, Asom Jatiyadabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), All Assam minority Students union (AAMSU) besides 43 other organizations.
