He said, "The state government has been taking a slew of steps to preserve and protect biodiversity as the bio diversity parks set up in the State are part of it."

This bio-diversity park is one such 24 bio diversity parks being set up by the Forest Department across 24 districts under the CAMPA scheme.

Six parks have already been set up. Each park covering an area of 2 to 3 hectares will be designed to preserve local medicinal plants and other varieties of flora.
