KOKRAJHAR: The District Administration of Kokrajhar has braced itself for a rigorous vaccination drive from tomorrow as the Assam Government has asked every office to step up the immunization drive.
The ambition of the State government is to vaccinate 50 per cent of the total population by July end of this year against COVID-19; a pilot project in the upcoming 10 days, the government aims to inoculate three lakh people every day.
The Kokrajhar district Deputy Commissioner's office has today informed that on average, they are going to inoculate seven thousand people above 18 years.

As per recent official data, around 1,500 to 2,000 people across Kokrajhar are getting vaccinated every day.
"As many as 50 new Vaccination Centres have been established in the district already and many schools have been transformed into vaccination centres," said the DC.
It was also informed that the COVID test is not mandatory prior to getting vaccinated and only people with symptoms have to go through the test. There is no need for registration prior to vaccination.
