Major reshuffle in the Assam Police Administration

Guwahati, February 2, 2019:

In a major reshuffle of the Assam police administration in the Sarbananda Sonowal Government, as mentioned in an order on Saturday.

RM Singh, IPS chairman Assam Police Housing Corporation, is transferred as Director General of Home Guards, and Commandant General of Civil Defence, Assam.

Anil Kr Jha, IPS Special Director General (CID) Assam is transferred and posted as Chairman, Assam Police Housing Corporation.

AK Sinha Casshyap IPS, Additional Director of Police, is promoted to officiate in level 16 and as posted as Special Director General, Assam.

Bhasker Jyoti Mahanta, Additional Director General of Police, (Border) is promoted to officiate as Special DG, Assam.

Harmeet Singh IPS, Addl DGP, is transferred and posted as Additional DGP (Administration). Deepak Kumar Kedia, is posted as IGP, Assam.

Moreover, Biswaranjan Samal, IAS, on reversion of Central deputation is posted as Principal Secretary to the government of Assam transport, Skill and employment.

Dr. Krishna Kumar Dwivedi, Commissioner, and secretary to the government of Assam Personnel and AR Training are also posted as Commissioner and Secretary to the Govt of Assam.

Ashutosh Agnihotri, Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Transport Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Department has been posted as Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam.
