PRIYANKA CHOPRA TO VISIT ASSAM FOR A THREE DAY SHOOT IN ASSAM- HIMANTA BISWA SARMA

Himanta Biswa Sarma stated in a press meet that “after Priyanka Chopra’s appointment as a brand ambassador for Assam Tourism, the state has seen a steady increment of tourists.” He also stated that ”Bollywood and Telegu films should also be produced in assam ”. “After Priyanka’s appoinment in 2017 the revenue generated from tourism in Assam is INR 4,22,37,911 compared to INR 2,24,79,468 in the year 2016-17” mentioned Himanta.

Bollywood Actress Priyanka Chopra, who has been appointed as the Brand Ambassador of Assam Tourism in 2016, will soon visit Assam for a three-day shoot. Tourism Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma speaking to media persons on Tuesday stated that the Bollywood Star will visit Assam for a three-day shoot within the next two-three weeks. Sarma also quashed criticisms of the earlier Assam Tourism Videos featuring Priyanka Chopra and stated that long formats are not compatible for telecasting in national channels.
