Seven rifles seized from a house in Guwahati

Guwahati (Assam), September 30, 2018:

Seven rifles, along with 766 live cartridges, were seized by the police from a house in South Sarania locality of Guwahati on Sunday.

According to reports, the seizure was made when a team of the police had raided the house of one Nirod Deka.

He had availed of a loan of Rs.42 lakh from the Oriental Bank of Commerce in the city but defaulted. Banks officials, accompanied by the police, conducted a raid at the house in search of him.
