Suspected Bomb Blast in Guwahati, three injured

Guwahati, October 13, 2018:

Just two days before Durga Puja a suspected bomb exploded near the Sukleshwar Ghat in Guwahati injuring at least two people and damaging multiple vehicles nearby.

Speaking to InsideNe, SI Tanmoy Nath, IC, Fancy Bazaar Police Outpost said that the suspected bomb was burried in the sand just by the roadside. The blast took place at around 12:00 pm and so far two people are reported to be injured.

The injured have been identified as Rafik Uddin Ahmed, Shankar Das and Binita Das.

The blast also damaged some vehicles near the roadside as well.

The police have secured the area now and have also restricted the movement of general public nearby. The bomb squad is investigating the issue.
