A team of the Special Task Force (STF) of the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau and West Guwahati Forest Department along with Garchuk Police on Friday recovered huge number of animal bones from Lakhara of Guwahati.
The team recovered bones of Tiger and other rare animals and nabbed two individuals suspected to be poachers in relation to the case.
The duo has been identified as Umar Faruk and Nekibur Rahman who are residents of Lahorighat of Marigaon district of Assam. They were carrying the bones from Lahorighat to Guwahati.
As per official sources, the bones have been suspected to be of Tigers from Urang National Park. The duo will be taken into custody for two days under the STF.

It is to be mentioned that on September 5, two rhino poachers have been arrested from Numaligarh area in Golaghat district of Assam.
Police have arrested the two suspected poachers, along with Rhino horns. A motorcycle has also been seized from the two.
