Assam: 20 houses gutted in major fire in Baksa, no casualties reported

At least 20 houses gutted in a major fire in Kharija Bijni under Baksa district of Assam on January 27.

As per sources, 20 houses were burnt to ashes after an alleged short circuit at around 10 pm on January 27 led to the blaze. Alert locals informed the fire brigade who reached the the spot along with the Labdanguri police to douse the blaze.

Sensation spread in the region as the houses burnt down to ashes. 

Meanwhile, the police have begun investigation into the incident to ascertain the reason behind the blaze.
