Assam: 8 arrested for ticket black marketing in Howly Raas lottery scandal

The Howly Raas lottery is facing a grave scandal as eight individuals have been apprehended by Howly police for their involvement in black marketing of lottery tickets. 
The arrested individuals have been identified as Rantu Nath, Ramal Deuri, Harshajit Ramchiary, Nabajit Nath, Mrinmoy Nath, Amulya Das, Srimant Nath, and Chandan Das, all residents of Howly and its adjoining areas.

Additional SP, Barpeta, Bidyut Bikash Bora Bhuyan, revealed, "During the operation, a total of 615 lottery tickets were recovered, along with cash amounting to Rs 22,500 and 8 mobile phones from their possession."
