Assam: AIUDF leader criticizes Congress strategy in elections, warns of BJP's hindu polarization tactics

In critique of Congress's electoral strategy, Rafiqul Islam, the General Secretary of the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF), voiced concerns over the party's approach in Assam, particularly amidst the ongoing state elections. Islam expressed apprehensions regarding the BJP's success in rallying Hindu votes through polarization tactics.

"God knows what has happened to Congress," remarked Islam, highlighting the BJP's adeptness at mobilizing Hindu voters. "In a country where there are 85% Hindus, the BJP is working day and night to unite them," he added.

Islam highlighted the potential repercussions of Congress's alleged focus on catering to a minority demographic. "Congress has some audacity when they are separating 15% Muslims. What will happen with this?" questioned Islam.

The AIUDF General Secretary articulated concerns about the viability of Congress's electoral strategy vis-à-vis the prevailing Hindu-Muslim dynamics. "Even if India's absolute Muslim population votes for Congress, how will it help the party?" queried Islam.

Islam urged Congress to recalibrate its approach and engage with the Hindu electorate to secure their support. "Congress should have gone to the Hindu belt and listened to their problems and won their hearts," he said.

The AIUDF leader cautioned against the potential consequences of a consolidated Hindu vote bank in favor of the BJP. "If all Hindu votes will go to BJP, how will 15% of votes help Congress?" Islam questioned.
