Assam: Akhil Gogoi challenges to 'dethrone Himanta Biswa Sarma' at Raijor Dal rally

Akhil Gogoi, leader of the Raijor Dal, delivered a powerful speech at a large public gathering and joining program held at Sonapur in the Naobaicha constituency of Lakhimpur district on November 13.

The event, which witnessed a huge turnout, was part of the ongoing political campaign to strengthen the Raijor Dal’s presence in Assam’s political landscape.

Gogoi, rallying his supporters, chanted "BJP Murdabad" alongside the crowd, challenging the ruling party's dominance. He said that with the people's mandate, Raijor Dal would "dethrone Himanta Biswa Sarma" from the leadership of Assam.

Akhil Gogoi further accused the Chief Minister of being the "most corrupt person" in the state, claiming that he effectively pull the strings of the chief minister.

During his address, Gogoi spoke about the growing need for a political alternative that can address the issues of the common people, highlighting the government's failure to meet the needs of the masses.

He emphasized the importance of a people's movement to ensure social justice, safeguard Assamese identity, and demand more accountability from the current leadership.

The rally was marked by an enthusiastic crowd, with many people expressing their support for the Raijor Dal's vision for Assam. Gogoi also outlined the party's policies on various issues, including economic development, social welfare, and the protection of indigenous rights.
