Assam: Ayodhya Ram Temple style pavilion inaugurated in Karimganj, draws huge crowd

An Ayodhya Ram Temple inspired pavilion was inaugurated on the grounds of Karimganj College. The pavilion, modeled after the revered Ayodhya Ram Temple, was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Maharaj Adhyaksha of the Ramakrishna Mission and Rathindra Bhattacharya, a long-serving volunteer dedicated to temple construction efforts.

Organized by the Raktimav Club, this initiative seeks to bring the spiritual essence of Ayodhya’s iconic temple to Karimganj, offering residents a place for worship and connection. Dignitaries in attendance included Karimganj MP Kripanath Mallah and BJP district president Subrata Bhattacharya, among other prominent figures from the community.

In his address, Subrata Bhattacharya noted the mandap's potential as a spiritual site for those who may not have the opportunity to visit Ayodhya. “This Ram Temple, brought to life by Raktimav Club, allows our local community to experience the spiritual ambiance of Ayodhya right here in Karimganj,” he stated. He extended his heartfelt gratitude to Kamalakshya Dey Purkayastha, North Karimganj MLA and president of Raktimav Club, for his pivotal role in making the project a reality.
