Assam: Barpeta MP Phani Bhushan Choudhury hospitalized in Guwahati

Phani Bhushan Choudhury, Barpeta MP and senior leader of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), has been admitted to a private hospital in Guwahati due to respiratory complications.  

Sources revealed that Choudhury was rushed to the hospital after experiencing difficulty in breathing. According to hospital authorities, his condition has stabilized following medical intervention, but he remains under close observation as doctors monitor his progress.  

Assam Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah visited the hospital late at night on December 25 to inquire about Choudhury’s health. Briefed by the medical team on the veteran politician’s condition, Baruah expressed optimism about his recovery.  

“All necessary medical care is being provided, and we are hopeful for his swift recuperation,” Baruah told reporters.
