Assam BJP MLA Amiya Bhuyan chased away by women, watch the video

Bihpuria MLA Amiya Kumar Bhuyan has landed in the proverbial soup after the BJP legislator was allegedly found distributing cash amid the ongoing Deori Autonomous Council (DAC) election on November 8.

It is to be mentioned here that in a viral video, the MLA was seen hurrying away in his car while women from the Deori village slammed the MLA for his presence on the poll day.

In the video, it could be seen women banging the MLA's car and shouting at him.

"Why are you running away like a thief..next time if you happen to be here in Deori village, we shall see you", said one of the women.

This is not the first time the Bihpuria MLA is facing public outrage, as an audio clip of him allegedly asking two police officers to digress from their official responsibilities and to not ‘perform Policegiri’ while discharging their official duties went viral on social media. 

In the first conversation, the BJP MLA was heard asking the police officer to not resort to “Policegiri” while taking up a case of police seizing a boat belonging to Mising tribals of his constituency Bihpuria.
