Two students who were missing since Saraswati Puja celebrations on February 14, were found dead in a forest area in Kokrajhar under mysterious circumstances.
Both students who went missing since February 14 were studying at a government college in Kokrajhar. The bodies were recovered at Garotila Hills of Charaikola in Kokrajhar.
As per sources, the girl's guardian had filed a missing complaint after she didn't return home after attending Saraswati Puja in her college.
Meanwhile, Kokrajhar district police and crime branch reached the spot and recovered the body and started the investigation process. The two youths are suspected to have committed suicide due to love affairs.
"The girl has been missing since the day of Saraswati Puja. Probably, the guardians had filed a missing complaint. I was not present at home at the time of the incident I came late night and was informed about the incident. Don't know how the bodies of the two were found here today. Later, came to know that bodies of both the girl and a boy were recovered here in the forest. Don't know about the body but the girl had passed her matriculation last year with first division and was studying in Science stream", said one of the kin of the deceased girl while speaking to the media.
The residents and family members have demanded a probe into the incident
