The body of Ritwik Ghosh, the son of an Indian Air Force personnel, was recovered from the Jia Bharali River at Kalabari Chapori today, October 21. This discovery marks the end of a five-day search following the tragic incident in which both father and son fell into the Kameng River in Tippi, Arunachal Pradesh, on October 17.
The incident occurred while Bapi Ghosh, an Air Force personnel, and his son Ritwik were near the riverbank. Despite efforts to rescue them, both went missing in the river's strong currents. The search for the missing duo spanned across various locations downstream, involving local authorities, military personnel, and rescue teams.
The first breakthrough came two days ago when Bapi Ghosh’s body was found at Chikmukh in Jamugurihat. The grim discovery led to intensified search efforts for Ritwik, which ultimately culminated in the recovery of his body from the Jia Bharali River.
The Ghosh family is now grieving the tragic loss of both father and son, while the local community mourns the untimely demise of an Air Force serviceman and his young child.
