The Bura-Chapori Wildlife Sanctuary has inaugurated an elephant safari for tourists starting today. Sonali Ghosh, the director of Kaziranga National Park, launched the safari. This marks the first official opening of the fitakati since the eviction at the Burhasapari Sanctuary. The forest department is making consistent efforts to enhance the sanctuary for tourists. Ever since the inclusion of the Burha Chapri sanctuary under the Kaziranga Tiger Project, the department has been working towards its restructuring. The Wildlife Authority has assured the provision of all necessary facilities for the tourists.
