The Government Railway Police (GRP) at Badarpur Railway Station seized approximately 11 kilograms of cannabis from the Tejas Rajdhani Express. Two women were arrested in connection with the case.
During a routine inspection, GRP personnel discovered the contraband hidden inside the bags of the accused while the train was en route from Agartala to Delhi.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Monowara Begum and Jinta Begum, both residents of Bishalgarh, Tripura.
Authorities have launched a detailed investigation, with interrogation underway to uncover further links in the smuggling network.
