Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma participates in cleanliness drive under ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ programme in Guwahati

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on October 1 participated in a cleanliness drive organized by Guwahati Municipal Corporation under “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath” programme.

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma was joined in by Rajya Sabha member Pabitra Margherita who too participated in the cleaning drive.

CM Sarma reached Guwahati’s Gandhi Mandip to collect garbage and clean the area along with RS MP Pabitra Margherita for promoting cleanliness.

The drive under ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ programme will witnessed total 22,442 cleaning events in the state of Assam of which 18,455 cleaning events will be held in rural areas and 3,987 cleaning events in urban areas.
The drive aims to generate an estimate shramdaan hours between 10-11 am on October 1.
