Assam: CM vigilance team conducts raids at ACS official's residence amid disproportionate assets probe

The Chief Minister's Vigilance Cell carried out simultaneous raids early this morning, January 4  at multiple properties linked to Ashwini Kumar Doley, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a District Council.

The operation forms part of an ongoing investigation into alleged disproportionate assets amassed by the ZPC official.

The raids targeted Doley’s government residence in Sivasagar, his ancestral home in Dhemaji, and his private property in Panjabari, Guwahati. These follow prior investigations into Dalai's tenure and financial dealings.

Doley, who began his career in Sivasagar in 2009, has been at the center of controversy during his time as CEO.

Allegations have surfaced accusing him of misappropriating funds amounting to crores under the pretext of organizing the Disang Festival. Additionally, Doley is alleged to have demanded bribes from contractors in exchange for awarding developmental projects.
