Assam: Cow mafia arrested in Gossaigaon's joint operation

Cow Mafia Alam Badsa Arrested by Gosaigaon Police in Joint Operation by Gosaigaon police, with assistance from Grahampur police, successfully arrested notorious cow smuggler Alam Badsa in a coordinated operation. 

The apprehension took place in Gosaigaon, bringing an end to Badsa's long-standing illegal activities.

Alam Badsa, a resident of Pokalagi village under Tamarhat police station, had been evading law enforcement while engaging in the illicit trade of cows. 

His operations extended beyond state borders, with a significant portion of the smuggled cattle ending up in Bangladesh. Badsa's ability to operate for an extended period was attributed to his alleged tactics of misleading police authorities.

The Gosaigaon police had been conducting an extensive investigation and surveillance operation targeting Badsa, focusing on his involvement in the illegal cow smuggling network. 

The recent arrest marks a significant achievement in the ongoing efforts to curb illegal cattle trade in the region.

Authorities have indicated that further investigations are underway to dismantle the broader network associated with Alam Badsa's operations.

The police continue to stress their commitment to eradicating such illegal activities to ensure law and order in the region.
