Assam: Eviction drive carried out in Rangjuli forest to remove rubber gardens

The forest department executed a major eviction drive in Rangjuli forest today, targeting around nine bighas of land that had been illegally converted into rubber gardens. The operation, led by Goalpara's Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) and the Regional Forest Officer of Rangjuli, was carried out by the Khashibari Protection Reserve Force (PRF).

The eviction focused on dismantling a large-scale rubber plantation that was producing rubber illicitly. This action is part of the forest department's ongoing efforts to reclaim forest land and prevent illegal activities within protected areas.

The Regional Forest Officer of Rangjuli said that similar eviction drives would continue in a systematic manner to restore and protect forest resources.
