Assam: Food and Supply department seizes truck of illegally sold paddy in Morigaon

An official from the Food and Supply Department, Matinur Rahman has taken decisive action to curb illegal activities in the region. Rahman seized a truck (WB 57 A 8657) at Malputa in Morigaon while it was transporting paddy purchased at a low price to Kishanganj in Bihar.

The truck was found carrying approximately 20 metric tonnes of paddy. The paddy had been sold by a businessman named Mazarul from Dhing in Nagaon district. The transaction was conducted under a challan in the name of M/S J Enterprise, located at Biltiya intersection in Dhing.
