Assam: Freight train derails in Gossaigaon, train services disrupted

Train services were disrupted after a freight train derailed at Chautara in Gossaigaon, Assam.

According to sources, the freight train derailed around 10pm on April 5. As a result several trains including the Anand Vihar Express train had to make a halt at Gosaigaon railway station, thus disrupting train services for long hours.

The railway department reached the spot and cleared the route at night for safe passage of other train services. 

Meanwhile no casualties or injuries were reported at the time of the incident.
