Assam: GRP seizes 31 sacks of suspected Burmese betel nuts at New Bongaigaon Junction

New Bongaigaon Railway Junction witnessed a significant operation as the Government Railway Police (GRP) seized 31 sacks of suspected Burmese-origin betel nuts from the Namonimuwa Vivek Express. 

 

Initial findings indicate that the consignment originated from Dibrugarh, raising questions about its intended destination and legality. 

 

The GRP has launched a detailed investigation to uncover further details regarding the source and transportation of the seized goods.
