Assam: Guwahati Radisson Blu hotel murder planned attack or blackmail ? Police Commissioner briefs

In a chilling turn of events at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Guwahati, a man from Pune met a tragic end in a bid to erase intimate photos from his cellphone. Guwahati Police Commissioner Diganta Barah addressed the media in a press conference speaking on the incident.

The victim, identified as Sanjeev Suresh, a businessman in the car and jewelry industry, found himself entangled in a deadly web of deceit. His travels to various cities including Kolkata and Assam led him to an ill-fated encounter with Anjali, with whom he developed a relationship despite her existing commitment to Vikas Shaw.

Despite Sanjeev's persistent attempts to deepen their relationship, Anjali remained steadfast in her loyalty to Vikas. Sanjeev's desperation culminated in him resorting to sending intimate photos of their time together to Vikas, hoping to sabotage their impending marriage.

Upon discovering these incriminating images, Vikas and Anjali concocted a plan to confront Sanjeev and destroy the evidence. Their scheme unfolded at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Guwahati, where Sanjeev and Anjali had booked a room on the 9th floor, while Vikas secured a room on the 10th floor.

Anjali left the door of their room ajar, allowing Vikas to enter and confront Sanjeev. A violent altercation ensued, resulting in Sanjeev sustaining fatal injuries at the hands of Vikas. Despite their initial plan to incapacitate Sanjeev with food and delete the photos, the situation escalated, leading to Sanjeev's demise.

In a bid to evade justice, Vikas and Anjali attempted to flee the scene, falsely alerting hotel staff to Sanjeev's condition before making their escape. However, their plans were foiled as they were apprehended en route to the airport.The police have since seized the victim's cellphone along with those belonging to the accused.
