Assam: Illegally transported rice seized in Bongaigaon during late night operation

In a late night operation conducted by the Jogighopa police in Bongaigaon district, a vehicle transporting rice illegally was intercepted and seized at Kabaitari. 

The confiscated items comprised numerous sacks of rice, transported via a six-wheeler truck with registration number AS19C 4793. Upon receiving the report, officials from the Food and Civil Supplies Officer's office promptly arrived at the scene to initiate a thorough investigation.

The incident sheds light on longstanding suspicions of illicit rice trading activities prevailing within the district. This latest seizure underscores the urgency of addressing and curbing such illegal practices to uphold regulatory integrity and ensure fair trade practices within the region.
