Assam Lok Sabha Election 2024: “Rahul Gandhi's rally will be a super flop” says Minister Pijush Hazarika

Ahead of Rahul Gandhi's scheduled rally in Assam's Titabar Minister Pijush Hazarika has cast doubt on the event's potential success asserting that it will likely be a "super flop." In an interview with reporters, Hazarika expressed skepticism about the turnout for Gandhi's campaign suggesting that no more than 10,000 to 15,000 people may attend.

Hazarika's comments come as Gandhi prepares to address a day-long programme in Titabar aiming to garner support for his party in the region. The minister's remarks reflect the ongoing political rivalry between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposition, particularly the Indian National Congress, represented by Gandhi.

Additionally, Hazarika confidently asserted that BJP candidate Tapan Gogoi is poised to secure a substantial victory margin in Titabar, predicting a lead of 20,000 to 25,000 votes. These projections underscore the BJP's optimism regarding its electoral prospects in the constituency.

The minister's statements serve as a preemptive strike against Gandhi's campaign efforts, aiming to undermine the impact of his visit to the region. As political tensions heighten in the run-up to the elections such remarks highlight the intense competition between rival parties vying for electoral supremacy.
