Assam man kills mother-in-law, sister-in-law in Kokrajhar

Assam's Kokrajhar was rocked by a shocking double murder last night in Shanti Nagar's ward number three. 

Asha (Kalpana) Mallik and her daughter Dwipsikha Mallik were brutally killed by their son-in-law, Manav Shah, who is currently on the run.

The gruesome incident took place late in the night, sending shockwaves through the tight-knit community. Neighbours reported hearing loud arguments from the Mallik household before the tragic event unfolded. By the time the authorities arrived, it was too late to save the victims.

Kokrajhar police have launched a preliminary investigation into the murders. They are actively searching for Manav Shah, who fled the scene immediately after committing the heinous act. "We are doing everything in our power to apprehend the suspect. We urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward," said a senior police official.

Family members and friends of the victims are in a state of shock and disbelief. Asha Mallik, fondly known as Kalpana, was a respected figure in the community, known for her kindness and generosity. Her daughter, Dwipsikha, was described as a bright young woman with a promising future.
