Assam: Massive fire breaks out at Kasaripeti in Bongaigaon district

A major fire broke out on October 25 at Kasaripeti, block no III under Barghola police station in Bongaigaon district of Assam.

According to sources, the fire broke out at the residence of one Khusbor Ali, with the affected family suspecting the fire might have been caused by an electric short circuit. The fire first originated from the kitchen and then soon spread to other parts of the house

Property worth lakhs of rupees was gutted in the fire. The promptness of the local people saved from further damages.

The public informed the fire brigade but the fire brigade could not reach on time as the road leading to the spot was very difficult.
