Assam: Massive fire in Bongaigaon causes severe damage, woman severely injured

A massive fire engulfed Sonaikola in Bongaigaon, starting from the residence of Hanif Ali.

The incident, which occurred at 2 pm, resulted in serious injuries to 32-year-old Mumtaz Begum and caused an estimated damage of Rs 7-8 lakh, including the loss of important documents.

The fire also completely destroyed three houses. The fire brigade from Bijni was dispatched but had to turn back due to poor road conditions. I

t is currently suspected that the fire may have originated from a dumped pile of jute.
