Assam: Miscreant allegedly attempts to rape tourist in Majuli, hunt on to nab accused

In a horrific incident, a miscreant allegedly tried to rape a female tourist who had arrived in Majuli with a group on April 12.

The incident was reported near Aflamukh Ferryghat in Majuli, where the female tourist along with 11 young men and women had arrived to the state on April 10.

As per reports, an unidentified miscreant on April 12 attempted to rape one of the woman tourist who had come along with the group and was about leave Majuli towards home. 

It is learnt that the police have identified the miscreant and conducting searches to nab the culprit near Aflamukh Ghat, Majuli.
