Assam: MLA Siddique Ahmed alleges conspiracy over missing name in Panchayat voter list

South Karimganj MLA Siddique Ahmed has raised serious allegations regarding irregularities in the panchayat voter list, claiming his name has been deliberately excluded. 

The controversy deepens with accusations of a conspiracy to erase the existence of the Dhalchara polling station, allegedly orchestrated by certain BJP members from the Sribhoomi area.  

Reacting strongly, Ahmed announced plans to gherao the District Commissioner's office on Tuesday to demand answers. 

Speaking at a press conference, he highlighted glaring discrepancies in the electoral process. "Some wards have been created with just one vote, while others have up to 32 votes. Polling centers have been placed seven to eight kilometers away from voters' residences, and there are clear inconsistencies in the names," he stated.
