The five apprehended cybercriminals stand accused of defrauding innocent victims out of lakhs of rupees through various online applications, employing the documents of unsuspecting individuals.
The culprits managed to fraudulently obtain loans under the guise of a lawyer named Ajay Gupta from Delhi. The deception in this case alone ran into several lakhs of rupees.
The cyber fraudsters, identified as Asadul Islam, Umar Siddique, Jahangir Alam, Mazaharul Islam, and Isadul Haque, fell into the hands of justice during a well-executed raid carried out by the Morigaon police in Moirabari.
