Assam: Muslims conduct Hindu man's funeral rites in Karimganj, display unique example of communal harmony

In a heartwarming show of communal harmony, a group of Muslims in Assam's Karimganj conducted the funeral rites of a Hindu man. The man, who had no immediate family, was given a respectful send-off as per Hindu customs by his Muslim neighbours. 

This act of unity has been widely praised and serves as a reminder of the underlying bond that transcends religious differences.

A team of young individuals in Baraigram joined forces with locals to understand the intricacies of cremation rituals. They assisted in transferring the departed from the elderly home to the cremation site. 

This poignant act of solidarity and reverence for cultural customs mirrors the peaceful cohabitation and mutual humaneness prevalent in the Baraigram community.
