Assam: One arrested for alleged drugs smuggling in Bongaigaon, cash and mobile phone seized

In a coordinated anti-drug operation, the police team of Abhayapuri and Borghola, with support from the CRPF, successfully apprehended a suspected heroin supplier in Kahibari, Abhayapuri, Bongaigaon district on December 3.

The accused, identified as Sarwar Alam from Gerukabari, was found in possession of approximately 11 grams of suspected heroin. Authorities also confiscated a mobile phone and Rs 900 during the operation.  

The police stated that the raid was conducted following a tip-off, emphasizing their ongoing commitment to eradicating drug-related activities in the region. Investigations into the case are underway.
