Assam police seize over 300 cartons of illegal foreign liquor in Bokajan during routine check

Assam police in Bokajan's Khakarajan area, Borpathar, seized a large consignment of illegal foreign liquor during a routine check. The truck, traveling from Lakhipur, Guwahati, to Kahimal, was found transporting the liquor under the guise of food cartons.  

The vehicle, registered as AS-01-JC-7426, was found concealing nearly 300 cartons of foreign liquor.  

The driver, Phulchand Ali Mondal from Golakganj, Dhubri, has been arrested and is currently under interrogation as authorities continue their investigation.  

Excise Department sources have estimated the market value of the seized liquor to be over 9 lakh rupees.
