Assam Pradesh Congress takes out 'Ambedkar Samman Yatra' in Guwahati

The Kamrup Metropolitan District Congress Committee today, December 24, took out a procession the 'Ambedkar Samman Yatra,' with Gaurav Gogoi, Deputy Leader of Congress in the Lok Sabha, leading the march. 

 

The procession began at 11:30 AM from the Manabendra Sarma Complex, culminating in a tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the esteemed architect of the Indian Constitution.

 

While the administration has granted permission for tributes and garlanding, any kind of protest has been denied. Nevertheless, Congress leaders are resolute in their commitment to honoring Ambedkar’s profound contributions. Following the tribute ceremony, a series of speeches by Congress leaders on Ambedkar’s life and legacy were spoken.

 

Prominent Congress leaders, including Debabrata Saikia, Leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP), Manoj Chouhan, Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), and Ripun Bora, former Member of Parliament were part of the event. A large gathering of Congress supporters was witnessed.
