In a shocking incident a woman in Assam’s Rupahihat lost her child on March 22 after being allegedly administered wrong medicines by a fake pharmacist.
As per reports, one week ago, the woman had gone to the pharmacy owned by one Khairul Islam at Jiumari market, Rupahihat, and requested some medicines as she was not feeling well.
As per allegations, Khairul gave the woman abortion medicines as opposed to medicines to control vomiting. Khairul's wrong treatment led to the termination of the woman's pregnancy.
After the incident, the victim's family lodged a complaint with Rupahihat police station against the fake pharmacist Khairul Islam, who as per allegations has been running the pharmacy at Mamani Medical Hall in Jiumari Market, Rupahihat, without a valid license.
Locals have alleged that illegal pharmacies have been mushrooming in Rupahihat lately. Fake pharmacists like Khairul Islam have been running their business of administering wrong medicines to the public and playing with the lives of the innocent for quite some time now.
Khairul Islam, who does not have minimum knowledge of pharmacy, continues to run the pharmacy without a licence, claims the family of the victim woman.
