Assam: Rubber factory destroyed in major blaze in Sribhumi, goods worth Rs 10 lakh gutted in fire

A major fire broke out at a rubber factory in the Bakarshal area, in Sribhumi district located on the outskirts of the city, causing extensive damage and an estimated loss of Rs 10 lakh.  

Initial investigations suggest that the fire began during the smoking process of the rubber. Firefighting teams quickly arrived at the scene and were able to control the blaze. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the factory and its entire stock were reduced to ashes before the fire could be fully extinguished.  

Authorities are now investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the full extent of the damage.
