Assam: Security guard at Jorhat Medical College attacked amid tensions following infant's death

Tensions escalated at Jorhat Medical College following the tragic death of a one-year-old girl in the Maternity and Child Health Department, leading to an attack on a security guard by the deceased child's relatives. 

The incident unfolded after the girl, admitted just four days earlier, passed away following an injection administered during her treatment. 

Allegations surfaced that the nurse responsible for administering the injection had absconded, and authorities allegedly withheld details of the injection from the grieving parents, intensifying the uproar at the medical facility.
