Assam: Sema Naga youth missing, suspected victim of human trafficking gang

A youth from Assam’s Tinsukia district has been suspected to have fallen prey to a human trafficking gang. The missing youth, belonging to the Sema Naga community, has been unaccounted for since he went missing a month ago from Vijaywada Railway station in Andhra Pradesh.

Since one month has passed, the youth hailing from Longtong no. 2 village under Lekhapani Police Station of Margherita Constituency has gone missing from Vijaywada Railway station.

The father disclosed, "My son left for Bangalore on the 12th along with two boys from our village. While the other two reached their job venue safely, my boy didn't make it. He called me once, saying he got down from the train and was feeling upset. At the station, he collided with a stranger, had an argument, and shockingly, that unknown person pushed my son from the station. Now, he's demanding money."

Amidst the unfolding situation an FIR has been launched, prompting community members and local authorities to intensify efforts to locate the missing Sema Naga youth and investigate the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
