Assam: Shocking incident of moral policing surfaces in Cachar, BJP leader beats youth on charges of theft

A horrific incident of moral policing has surfaced in Assam’s Cachar district where a BJP leader mercilessly beat up a youth on suspicion of stealing money.

The incident took place at Dhalai’s Darbi Tea Estate in Cachar where the alleged BJP leader punished the youth for allegedly stealing money. 

The youth’s body bore signs of extreme torture as the BJP leader beat up the youth with sticks, pinning him to the ground.
The video of the horrific moral policing has gone viral on social media with lot of uproar in the area. According to reports, a 19-year-old man from Darbi Tea Estate was allegedly punished by local BJP leader Manoj Sahu for allegedly stealing money from his grocery store.

With a stick in his hand, the BJP leader thrashed the youth in front of his shop. The BJP leader did not stop at all and punished the young man like a clapping one by giving him an injury to his body with a needle and an electric fault on his body.

Meanwhile, the mother of the youth has alleged that the BJP leader Manoj Sahu made the youth forcefully drink alcohol. The mother also alleged that the BJP leader also attacked the mother who had gone to save her son.

The family members later rescued the youth and took him to Silchar Medical College where he is undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, a case against three people, including BJP leader Manoj Sahu has been registered in connection with the incident.
