Assam's Sribhumi witnessed a spectacular display of devotion as the much-anticipated "God’s Feast" took place with fervor and joy.
Over a hundred statues of Lord Gopal (Krishna) were gathered at the Shivalay Mandir in Nath Bazaar, where the atmosphere was filled with the sounds of devotional chants and the aroma of a variety of delicacies prepared for the occasion.
The celebration, which began in the final month of the year, will continue through January. This year, just like in 2023, the forest feast brought together thousands of devotees in a spirit of unity and devotion.
Devotees arrived with nearly a hundred statues of Lord Krishna from their homes, coming together to partake in the feast. As they enjoyed the meal, the crowd immersed themselves in deep devotion to Lord Krishna, making the event not only a religious gathering but a heartfelt celebration of faith.
Organizers emphasized that while the forest feast is a long-standing tradition, partaking in it with Lord Krishna’s blessings elevates the experience, bringing a sense of peace and joy. “It is not just a feast; it’s an expression of our devotion and love for God,” said the priest, adding that the event serves as a reminder of the spiritual fulfillment that comes from sharing in divine blessings.
