Assam: State wrapped in Rongali Bihu festivities, dance workshops under way in Abhayapuri

The sounds of 'dhols' and 'pepas' along with lively visuals of girls and boys dancing to the tunes of Rongali Bihu songs in Assam is going viral on social media. 

The state is now drenched in Bohagi mood as both young and old are practicing Bihu dance and songs day and night in a bid to bring the state on the world map with their attempt for the Guiness World Record on April 14. 

The Luitjyoti Bihuwa team from Abhayapuri, Bogaigaon is leaving no stone unturned to bring the favourite festival of the state of Assam on the global stage.

The Bihu team from Abhayapuri has been practicing for the past seven months and conducting several dance workshops in a bid to represent various tribal communities of the state including Bodo, Hajong Tiwa, Koch-Rajbangshi, during Rongali Bihu celebration.
