Assam: Student drowns in a pond in Barpeta

A 16-year-old student lost his life due to drowning in a pond located in Sarthebari's Borsola village. The young victim has been identified as Dhananjay Barman, a resident of Hilepara village.

He had informed his parents that he was going out to prepare for Teachers' Day. 

According to reports, Dhananjay Barman, along with some of his friends, ventured out for a leisurely swim. However, what was meant to be a day of enjoyment turned into a devastating tragedy as Dhananjay did not return home alive.

It is worth noting that the deceased had informed his parents that he was heading out for preparations related to Teachers' Day. His lifeless body was discovered in a pond in Borsola village.
